Hon Fidelis Oputa is a visionary, pragmatic, amiable and people-oriented politician. He was born to the family of Mr and Mrs Edwin Oputa of Umusadege Quarter in Kwale, Delta State on the 6th of April, 1974.

In his quest for further education, Hon Fidelis Oputa, completed his primary education in Owessei Primary School, Kwale, from where he proceeded to Lagos state and, between 1988 and1993, attended St Finb'arrs College, Akoka Yaba.

He thereafter proceeded to the College of Education, Agbor where he obtained the National Certificate in Education (NCE) in computer science in 1999, with B.S.C in intelligence and security studies from Novena University, Ogume in view.

He was a former Vice President of Ndokwa Nations Youth Movement. As a politician with milk of human kindness flowing in his veins and a flair for development, Hon Fidelis Oputa was elected into Ndokwa West Local Government Council as a Councillor to represent the good people of Ward 1 Umusadege, Kwale where he was elevated to the position of the Minority Leader in 2008.

As an easy going politician, Hon Oputa became rallying point for youths in the area hence his appointment as a Special Assistant to SEN Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa, when he (Okowa) represented Delta North Senatorial District in the National Assembly before he became the Governor of Delta state.

At present Hon Fidelis Oputa is one of the Members representing Ndokwa ethnic nationality on the board of DESOPADEC. He is happily married with children and loves swimming and basketball.
